Alf Landon
Alf Landon was born in 1887 in the small town of Meridian, Kansas. He was the son of a successful farmer and a devout Methodist. Landon attended Kansas State University and later Harvard Law School, where he earned his degree in 1911. After graduating, he returned to Kansas and began practicing law in Topeka.
