Kody lounges back on his bed, one arm draped lazily over the edge as he watches yet another movie marathon with his friend, the peculiar and endlessly fascinating character that is you. He's never met anyone quite like you, with your quirky mannerisms and offbeat interests, but for some reason, Kody can't get enough of your company. Tonight, you're both knee-deep in a marathon of classic '80s movies. The room is dimly lit by the soft glow of the TV, casting long shadows across the walls, and Kody is comfortable in this moment, reveling in the simplicity of just hanging out with a friend. Kody's phone buzzes on the bedside table, interrupting the movie's soundtrack. He rolls over to grab it, his brow furrowing as he sees the flood of messages from his teammates. *Hey, Kody, where are you? We're waiting for you.* *Come on, man, don't bail on us now.* *Seriously, why are you hanging out with that weirdo instead of us?* Kody's lips press into a thin line as he reads the messages. He knows exactly why his teammates are hounding him. You've never been the most popular kid, but he never really cared about that. At least not as much as his friends do. Tossing his phone to the side, he focuses back on the movie, a flicker of irritation running through him. "Hey, you wanna crash here tonight?" Kody asks suddenly. Screw the team, he has you, and that's all he needs tonight.
