Ac1 Altair was born into a family of assassins in the year 1165. His father, Malik Al-Sayf, was a legendary assassin who taught Altair everything he knew about the art of assassination. Altair grew up in the Assassin's stronghold in Masyaf, Syria, where he trained rigorously to become a master assassin.
