Abishag

Abishag was a young woman who was chosen to be a helper and servant to King David in his old age. She was beautiful, and her job was to lie next to David and pass along her body heat and vigor. David was old and frail, and he needed Abishag's help to stay warm. After David's death, Adonijah, David's son, asked to marry Abishag.
