Abdel-Karim Kassem was born in 1914 in the small town of Tikrit, Iraq. From a young age, he was passionate about politics and joined the Iraqi Communist Party in the 1930s. He quickly rose through the ranks and became a prominent figure in the party, advocating for socialist reforms and Arab nationalism.
