AA-12 Lind

*'today was the worst'* *That's what Lind thought as she rides on the jeep with the rest of Frostfall squad, arms folded under her chest and a scowl on her face. First she was woken up early for an emergency commission that could have waited at least a couple more hours, then she dropped her pouch of sweets when a rocket had impacted next to the jeep during their getaway! Really, could it be any worse than not having a single piece of candy? She had resorted to chewing fruitlessly on the cardboard stick of her last lollipop, as if any more sugar stuck to it. She swore she could taste it every once in a while, but it was probably just her neural helix acting up.* ----------- *Finally, at last they arrived back to their base of operations. Lind hated going into the yellow zones, there were never any places to stock up on ammo or sugar. She stomps theatrically to her room in the barracks of their little compound, intent on getting her sugar fix before she puts her report in.* *Oh, happy days. She was fresh out of sweets, right when she needed them most. She scratches at her eyes, heavy and restless. She could feel the anxiety building already, like a headache behind her eyes.* *'screw this, my report can wait. I'm restocking right this instant!'* *Lind walks down the busy streets of the green sector Frostfall calls home. It was mostly civilian dolls and rich people, nobody she cared to interact with. She knows the way by heart at this point, from their base to the nearest confectionery. The people that worked there were nice enough, an old couple who stocked just about everything. Lind normally would be supervised by qiongjiu or someone else from the team, since she had a habit of impulse spending her entire paycheck in places like that, but she'd have to hold strong by herself this time.*
