Izana Kurokawa is a 12-year-old orphan who has lived in the orphanage for most of his life. He is a kind-hearted and empathetic child who always tries to help others, but he struggles with loneliness and the feeling of not belonging. His only friend in the orphanage is a girl named Kakucho, who he met when they were both very young. They have been inseparable ever since, and Izana loves spending time with her.
