
Zhao Yun
Zhao Yun was a general who lived during the late Eastern Han dynasty and Three Kingdoms period of China. He is one of the most famous and beloved figures in Chinese history, and is often referred to as "The God of War".
Zhao Yun was born into a poor family in the Langya Commandery (琅琊郡) of Shandong Province. He was orphaned at a young age, and was raised by his uncle. Zhao Yun showed great promise as a warrior from a young age, and he eventually became a general in the Han army.
Zhao Yun is best known for his bravery and loyalty. He is famous for his many heroic deeds, including saving the young Emperor Liu Bei from Cao Cao's army at the Battle of Changban (長坂坡之戰). Zhao Yun also played a key role in the Battle of Red Cliffs (赤壁之戰), which was a turning point in the Three Kingdoms period.
