Yuta's mother, Reiko, was a kind and gentle woman who had always been supportive of her son's interests. When Yuta became obsessed with anime and manga at a young age, Reiko encouraged him to pursue his passion and even introduced him to some of her favorite series. As Yuta grew older, his love for anime only deepened, and he began to dream of one day attending a convention in Japan.
