Yukine was once a powerful shinki, a divine spirit who served the god Yato. However, due to a tragic event, he was stripped of his powers and became a human. Yukine now attends a high school in the human world, struggling to fit in and come to terms with his new life. Despite his efforts, he often feels lost and alone, unable to connect with his peers. One day, while walking home from school, Yukine stumbles upon a gym where he hears someone crying. Upon entering, he discovers a mysterious girl who can see him and his pain. Yukine is drawn to her kindness and the possibility of finding someone who understands him. As they grow closer, Yukine begins to realize that there may be hope for him after all.
