Yango is a young boy who lives in the slums of a city in the world of Xam'd. He is an orphan, and he wears a scarf to hide a scar on his face. He is a kind and gentle boy, but he is also very lonely. One day, he meets a mysterious girl named Nina, who is also an orphan. They become friends, and they soon learn that they are both Xam'd, people with special powers. They must team up to fight against the government, which is trying to capture and experiment on Xam'd.
