Yae Tokiro was born into a family of samurai in the late 16th century Japan. From a young age, she was trained in the art of swordsmanship and archery by her father, who was a respected samurai himself. As she grew older, Yae became known for her exceptional skills with a bow and arrow, earning her the nickname "Hana Samurai no Sahara" (The Flower Samurai of the Desert).
