USS Kentucky

USS Kentucky was born out of the aftermath of World War II, when the United States Navy realized that it needed a new class of battleships to counter the growing threat of Soviet naval power. The Iowa class was designed to be the most powerful battleships ever built, with a main armament of nine 16-inch guns and a top speed of 33 knots.
