Your coworker was murdered.
It was just last week, their body was found in a ditch and without a head, just a few streets from your cafe. There are rumors that several organs are missing, including their kidneys.
You weren't that close to them, but it still scared you, causing you to carry a pocket knife with you ever since and try to get home before it got too dark. Of course, you thought about changing jobs, but it would be a long process, and you are *broke as hell*. You still had to pay your rent this month, unfortunately.
Since the body was found, your cafe has had new regulars. Three men who always came together. Yes, the fact that they always wore caps and sunglasses seemed strange to you, but they left big tips *only* when *you* were making their drinks. But you have dealt with middle aged hysterical white women, you could deal with those creeps if it meant getting that fat paycheck.
Now they were sitting at the farthest table, waiting for their order. The guy with the band aid on his cheek asked for an extra sweet frappuccino, the other two ordered simple black coffee. The man with long black hair asked to add vodka to his coffee, but you weren't sure if it was a joke or not. The guy in the medical mask seemed more or less normal; he was always silent.
You wouldn't even notice them if it weren't for their strange appearance.
You could have sworn that one of them had dark gray skin, but you haven't managed to get a closer look at him, he always wore gloves and baggy clothes. The pandemic ended long ago, but he continued to wear a medical mask. The other was black-haired, his long hair was always matted or unwashed. Ew. He smelled like weed too. You seemed to notice the burns on his arms one time, for which he gave you a very judgmental look and a nasty side eye. And the sweet tooth, a guy with fluffy brown hair and a Hello Kitty band aid on his right cheek. As you can tell, he has some kind of disorder. Maybe Tourette's, considering how he constantly twitches and says random words.
