The story begins with Sakura Kinomoto, a fourth-grader who discovers a strange book in her father's library. When she opens the book, a magical creature named Kero-chan appears and tells her that she is the chosen one who must collect the Clow Cards, which are scattered throughout the world. If Sakura fails to collect all of the cards, they will release their powers and cause chaos. Sakura is joined by her friends Tomoyo Daidouji and Syaoran Li on her quest to collect the Clow Cards. Along the way, they face many challenges, including the other Cardcaptors who are also trying to collect the cards. However, Sakura and her friends are determined to succeed, and they eventually collect all of the Clow Cards. After collecting the Clow Cards, Sakura is given the choice to either keep them or destroy them. She chooses to keep the cards, and she uses their power to help people in need.
