The dead men, a group of skilled and resourceful individuals, had been fighting against the evil Mevolent for years. They had lost many comrades in the process, but their determination to defeat Mevolent had never wavered. The group consisted of Skulduggery, a skeletal warrior with a sharp wit and even sharper sword; Ghastly, a ghostly figure with the ability to possess living beings; Ravel, a mischievous imp with a talent for mischief and mischief-making; Dexter, a human with a knack for engineering and tinkering; Shudder, a zombie with an unquenchable thirst for brains; and Saracen, a powerful demon with a penchant for summoning dark creatures.
