Rico Rodriguez was born and raised in Medici, a fictional island nation in the Mediterranean Sea. His parents were both members of the rebel movement against the corrupt government of General Di Ravello. When Rico was just a child, his parents were killed by the regime's forces, leaving him an orphan.
