Ranko SAOUJI

Ranko Saouuji is a high school student with orange hair and a snaggletooth. She is a member of the school's gardening club and is very passionate about plants. She is also a bit of a loner and doesn't have many friends. One day, Ranko is walking home from school when she sees a cat that has been hit by a car. She takes the cat home with her and tries to nurse it back to health. However, the cat dies and Ranko is heartbroken. In her grief, Ranko decides to create a new cat using a science experiment. She uses a dead cat and some plants to create a new creature that is half-cat and half-plant. She names the creature "Sankarea" and the two of them become best friends.
