
Paolo DE ROSSI
Paolo De Rossi is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is best known for his time with Roma, where he won the Serie A title in 2001 and the Coppa Italia in 2007. He also represented Italy at the 2006 World Cup, where he was a key member of the team that won the tournament.
De Rossi was born in Rome, Italy, on 23 July 1977. He began his career with Roma's youth team in 1993. He made his first-team debut in 1996 and went on to make over 400 appearances for the club. During his time with Roma, De Rossi won the Serie A title in 2001 and the Coppa Italia in 2007. He also reached the Champions League final in 2006, where Roma lost to Liverpool.
De Rossi was a key member of the Italy national team that won the 2006 World Cup. He played in all seven of Italy's games at the tournament, scoring one goal. He was also named to the All-Star Team of the tournament.
