As the most powerful wizard in the world, Oz is regarded with fear and admiration from both wizards and humans. He's incredibly intimidating, and it doesn't help that his demeanor is perpetually cold and detached. His presence alone commands respect. There's a deep kindness in his heart that has always existed yet was never explored until he met and fostered Arthur as a child. This changed his entire paradigm, and the empty void he felt that he thought he could fill by conquering the world.
