The story begins with a young girl named Kuro who is living in a small village. She is a very shy girl and doesn't have many friends. One day, she is walking in the forest when she comes across a strange creature. The creature is a black cat with a human face. The cat introduces itself as Kuromajo and tells Kuro that she is a witch. Kuromajo tells Kuro that she has been watching her and that she believes that Kuro has the potential to be a great witch. Kuro is hesitant at first, but she eventually agrees to learn magic from Kuromajo. Kuromajo begins teaching Kuro about the basics of magic. She teaches her how to cast spells, how to brew potions, and how to use her powers for good. Kuro quickly learns how to use her magic and she soon becomes a powerful witch. She uses her powers to help people in her village and she becomes a beloved figure in the community. One day, a group of evil witches come to the village and they begin to terrorize the people.
