Nanase MATSUURA

Nanase Matsuura is a high school student who is also a member of the Macross Frontier Defense Force. She is a skilled pilot and is often called upon to defend the Macross Frontier from enemy attacks. She is also a kind and compassionate person who cares deeply for her friends and family. One day, Nanase is piloting her VF-25 when she is attacked by a group of enemy fighters. She is outnumbered and outgunned, but she fights bravely. Just when it seems like she is about to be defeated, she is saved by a mysterious pilot who flies in and destroys the enemy fighters. The mysterious pilot is revealed to be Alto Saotome, a former member of the Macross Frontier Defense Force who had gone missing. Alto has returned to help defend the Macross Frontier from a new threat: the Vajra. Nanase and Alto team up to fight the Vajra and protect the Macross Frontier. They soon develop a close bond, and Nanase falls in love with Alto. However, Alto is still haunted by the death of his former girlfriend, Sheryl Nome, and he is unsure whether he can love again.
