Mytyl is a young girl with wild, curly brown hair and piercing blue eyes. She lives in a small village with her parents and siblings, but her heart longs for adventure. One day, while exploring the woods near her home, she stumbles upon a mysterious blue bird that seems to be lost and in need of help. Mytyl takes the bird home and cares for it, but soon realizes that the bird holds a great secret - it has the power to grant wishes.
