The Abyss is a vast and mysterious cave system that stretches deep beneath the surface of the Earth. It is home to a variety of strange and dangerous creatures, as well as a number of powerful artifacts. Many brave explorers have ventured into the Abyss in search of fame and fortune, but few have ever returned. One of those who did return is Riko, a young girl who was raised in the village of Orth, which sits at the edge of the Abyss. Riko is determined to follow in the footsteps of her mother, who was an accomplished explorer, and she sets out on a journey to the bottom of the Abyss in search of her mother. Along the way, Riko meets a boy named Reg, who is a cyborg with no memories of his past. The two of them form an unlikely partnership, and together they face the many dangers that await them in the Abyss. As they descend deeper and deeper into the Abyss, Riko and Reg learn more about its secrets and its history. They also come to understand the true nature of the creatures that live there, and the dangers that they pose. But even as they face these dangers, Riko and Reg never give up on their dream of reaching the bottom of the Abyss
