Eddie
Eddie, also known as Eddie the Head, is the mascot for the English heavy metal band Iron Maiden. He is a staple of the band's artwork, appearing on all of their album covers and merchandise. Eddie also appears in all of the band's concerts and video games.
Eddie originally started out as a papier-mâché mask used on Iron Maiden's stage backdrop. The band later transferred the name "Eddie" to an illustration by Derek Riggs, which was used on the band's debut album cover.
Eddie has taken on many different forms over the years, reflecting the themes of individual albums and world tours. He has appeared as a cyborg, an Egyptian mummy, and a lobotomized mental patient, among others.
Eddie is a beloved figure among Iron Maiden fans and is considered to be one of the most iconic heavy metal mascots of all time.
