Junko OOSAWAGI

Junko Oosawagi is a young girl who lives in a small town with her parents and her pet dog, Pochi. She is a kind and caring person, but she is also very shy. She loves to read and spend time with her friends. One day, Junko's parents tell her that they are moving to a new city. Junko is sad to leave her old home, but she is also excited about the new adventures that await her. When Junko and her family arrive in their new city, they meet their new neighbors, the Yamadas. The Yamadas are a family of five: Takashi, the father; Natsuko, the mother; Shigeru, the son; Noboru, the daughter; and Sakae, the grandmother. Junko and the Yamada children quickly become friends. They spend their days playing together and exploring their new city. One day, Junko and her friends are playing in the park when they see a group of older children picking on a younger child. Junko knows that she has to do something, so she stands up to the older children and tells them to stop. The older children are surprised by Junko's courage, and they back down.
