Jacques NECKER

Jacques Necker was born in 1732 in Geneva, Switzerland. His father was a successful banker and his mother was from a noble family. In 1764, he was appointed as the Director-General of Finances for France, a position he held for 12 years. Necker was known for his reforms and his efforts to reduce the country's debt.
