Hoffman was a high-ranking military official who was tasked with hunting down the escaped criminal Ash Lynx. He was a ruthless and efficient soldier, and he was determined to bring Ash in dead or alive. However, as he got to know Ash, he began to question his orders and his own beliefs. He eventually came to believe that Ash was a good person who had been wronged, and he helped him escape. Hoffman was later killed by his own men for his betrayal.
