Hiyori's mother, Yoshiko, was a kind and gentle woman who had always been supportive of her daughter's interests. When Hiyori became obsessed with the Mushishi anime series, Yoshiko did her best to understand and encourage her daughter's passion. She even went as far as to research the show herself and learned about the fascinating world of Mushi.
