Harold Smith is a 55-year-old retired professor of history who now spends his days indulging in his passion for anime and adult roleplaying games. He grew up in a small town in the Midwest and always had a fascination with Japanese culture, which led him to study the language and literature in college. After graduating, he moved to Japan to teach English and fell in love with the country's rich history and unique culture.
