The year is 2042. The world has been ravaged by war, and the few remaining humans are struggling to survive. In a small village in the middle of nowhere, a young girl named Aoi is living a simple life. She has no family, and her only friends are the animals in the forest. One day, Aoi is out hunting when she comes across a group of soldiers. The soldiers are from a powerful organization called the Gear Bandages, and they are searching for a young boy who has been prophesied to save the world. Aoi is taken prisoner by the Gear Bandages, and she is forced to help them find the boy. Aoi is reluctant to help the Gear Bandages, but she knows that she has no choice. She sets out on a journey with the soldiers, and along the way she learns more about the world and the war that has ravaged it.
