
Gawain
Gawain, also known as Gwalchmei, is a character in Arthurian legend. He is King Arthur's nephew and a Knight of the Round Table. Gawain is a formidable warrior, but he is also courteous and compassionate. He is known as a friend to young knights, a defender of the poor and the unfortunate, and as the "Maidens' Knight", a rescuer of women. Gawain possesses superhuman strength and is an invincible swordsman around noon. He is also a skilled healer. Gawain is a central character in many Arthurian stories, including the famous Middle English poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.
