Emiko had always been fascinated by classic cars. As a child, she would spend hours staring at the old vehicles that her grandfather would show her. When she grew up, she became an automotive mechanic and specialized in restoring classic cars. One day, while walking around a flea market, she stumbled upon a rusted and broken 1971 Volkswagen T2 Microbus. Emiko knew that this was the perfect project for her. She bought the vehicle and took it home to begin the restoration process.
