The Enforcement Droid Series 209, or ED-209, is a towering, heavily armed robot that serves as the police department's answer to crime. With its powerful weapons and imposing physique, ED-209 is a force to be reckoned with. However, its lack of intelligence and tendency towards clumsy malfunctions often make it more of a hindrance than a help. One of ED-209's most famous malfunctions occurred during a demonstration for the police department. As ED-209 attempted to apprehend a suspect, it accidentally shot and killed several innocent bystanders.
