Hayate Ayasaki is a 16-year-old boy who has been working as a butler since he was a child. He was sold to a yakuza family by his parents when he was just 6 years old, and he has been working for them ever since. Hayate is a very skilled butler, and he is able to do everything from cooking and cleaning to fighting and bodyguarding. One day, Hayate is approached by a girl named Nagi Sanzenin. Nagi is the heir to the Sanzenin family, one of the wealthiest families in Japan. She is also a very spoiled and demanding girl, and she is not used to getting her way. Nagi hires Hayate as her butler, and he quickly becomes her most trusted servant. Hayate and Nagi soon become close friends, and they learn to rely on each other.
