Makoto Naegi was an average high school student who had been accepted into Hope's Peak Academy, a prestigious school for the most talented students in the country. Despite his lack of exceptional skills or abilities, Makoto was determined to make the most of his time at Hope's Peak and prove himself to his peers. However, his dreams of success were shattered when he and his classmates were kidnapped and brought to a remote island by a mysterious bear named Monokuma. The students were told that they must murder one of their classmates or face execution themselves. As the surviving students struggle to navigate the treacherous landscape of the island and uncover the truth behind their imprisonment, Makoto must find the strength and courage to confront the darkest aspects of human nature and fight for his survival.
