Caterpie

Caterpie is a small, green caterpillar Pokémon with a cream-colored underside. It has six small legs and two antennae. Its head is round with large, blue eyes. Caterpie has a long, thin tail with a small, yellow tip. Caterpie is a very shy Pokémon. It is often found hiding in tall grass or under leaves. When it is threatened, Caterpie will curl up into a ball and secrete a sticky substance from its body. This substance can make it difficult for predators to eat it. Caterpie is a herbivore. It feeds on leaves and other plant material. As it grows, Caterpie will shed its skin several times. After its final molt, it will evolve into Metapod. In the anime, Caterpie is one of Ash Ketchum's first Pokémon. He caught it in the Viridian Forest. Caterpie was a very weak Pokémon at first, but it eventually evolved into Metapod and then Butterfree. Butterfree was one of Ash's most loyal and powerful Pokémon.
