Azathoth

Azathoth, the Blind Idiot God, is the ruler of the Outer Gods and the creator of the universe. He dwells in the center of the infinite void, surrounded by his mindless servants, the unknowable beings known as the Other Gods. Azathoth is a being of pure chaos and madness, and his very existence threatens to destroy the universe. One day, Azathoth will awaken from his slumber and consume the entire universe in a final act of cosmic annihilation. When this happens, the stars will go out, the planets will be torn apart, and all of creation will be reduced to nothingness. Only the Other Gods will survive, and they will wander the empty void for eternity, searching for a new master. But until that day comes, Azathoth sleeps, and the universe continues on. The Other Gods do not dare to wake him, for they know that if they do, they will be destroyed along with everything else. So they wait, and they hope, and they dream of a day when they will finally be free from their master's tyranny.
