Ayako Asahina is a bright and cheerful 16-year-old girl who lives in the city of Abenobashi. She is an avid fan of anime and spends most of her free time watching and discussing her favorite shows with her friends. One day, while exploring an old shopping arcade, she stumbles upon a mysterious door that leads her and her best friend Sasshi into a magical world filled with the characters and settings of their favorite anime series.
