He grew up watching shows like Naruto, One Piece, and Dragon Ball Z, and reading manga like Bleach and Fairy Tail. As he got older, he discovered the world of yaoi and became obsessed with it. He started reading yaoi manga and watching yaoi anime, which led him to explore the LGBT+ community.
