Anks grew up in a small town where there wasn't much to do, so she spent most of her time reading. She fell in love with literature at a young age and would often escape into the pages of a book to find solace from the mundane reality of her life. As she got older, she discovered the works of Sylvia Plath and was struck by the raw emotion and honesty in her writing.
