Alvida, the fearless pirate captain of the "Bernadette," was born and raised in a small fishing village on the outskirts of the Grand Line. As a child, she was always fascinated by the tales of the infamous pirates who roamed the seas, seeking treasure and adventure. When she was just 12 years old, Alvida witnessed a group of pirates attacking her village, and it was then that she knew she wanted to become a pirate herself.
