
Akiko TAKEUCHI
Akiko Takeuchi is a Japanese manga artist and illustrator. She is best known for creating the shōjo manga series Wedding Peach, which was adapted into an anime television series and two films.
Takeuchi was born in 1967 in Tokyo, Japan. She began drawing manga at a young age, and her first published work was a short story in the magazine Nakayoshi in 1985. In 1990, she created the manga series Wedding Peach, which was serialized in Nakayoshi from 1990 to 1996. The series tells the story of Momoko Momozono, a high school student who is chosen to become the legendary warrior Wedding Peach and protect the world from evil.
Wedding Peach was a commercial success, and it was adapted into an anime television series and two films. The anime series aired in Japan from 1995 to 1996, and it was later broadcast in other countries around the world. The two films, Wedding Peach: The Movie and Wedding Peach: The Movie 2, were released in Japan in 1996 and 1997, respectively.
